That Bind is owned and operated by Lois Plantt. We are continually growing to meet the needs of our local
quilters and those seeking a new passion in the extensive world of quilting.
Throughout the years, Lois
learned the art of quilting from her mother
Florence and in recent years has been involved with many projects of the
Osprey Museum Quilters. She had
a vision of opening a quilt supply store to provide quilters with a local
venue where they could purchase a variety of supplies, unique fabrics and
patterns. With the support of
her family, friends and her husband Ron, that vision became reality in March
2009, when she was able to secure a storefront location in the village of
Maxwell. This allowed Lois to
relocate her small home based business to a larger location and is now able
to provide an even wider selection along with many services that she previously
did not have the room to accommodate.
Lois
now has the pleasure of sharing ideas and creativity as well as learning from
the customers to build on her ever-growing passion of quilting.
It is very satisfying to know that you helped create a lasting
heirloom that will bring joy to many generations.
She has made many new friends along the way and only hopes to extend
that 'family' as the store continues to grow. We continue to add to our large selection of fabrics, patterns, notions and gifts to meet the needs of our customers. We also have a quaint classroom; equipped with sewing machines, work tables, chairs and a kitchen for those lunchtime classes and coffee breaks. We are open to class suggestions and look forward to providing a variety to our customers.
Thank
you for showing interest in learning more about our store. Please do
not hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
Our staff is very dedicated and knowledgeable and we can't wait to hear about
your latest project or help you with ideas for a new one. We hope to see
you soon.
